2025 Candidate Forums


Session 1

The League of Women Voters Greeley-Weld will conduct local candidate and ballot issue forums this fall.  Forums are not debates but an opportunity for candidates to respond to questions about their qualifications and vision for office. The LWV Greeley-Weld County is a non-partisan organization that is dedicated to promoting political responsibility through informed and active participation in government.


The League is partnering with the City of Greeley and Greeley Evans School District 6 to hold the forums. 

  • The Greeley Evans School District 6 Candidate Forum will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 6:30-8:00 pm in the School District Board room. The forum will be in-person and available later for viewing on the LWV Greeley-Weld YouTube Channel.

Public wishing to attend in person should enter the School District #6 building from the door on 11th Street and from the back of the Board room.

  • The City of Greeley Candidate Forum was held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, in the City Council Chambers, from 6:30-8:30 pm. The forum YouTube link to view the video can be accessed here.  Additionally, the forum will be rebroadcast on the city's Allo and Xfinity Session 2Government Access Channels at the flowing times:

  • 7:00 a.m.: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
  • 1:30 p.m.: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday
  • 2:00 p.m.: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
  • 5:30 p.m.: Monday, Wednesday, Friday

The venues of each forum will be open to the public at 6:00 pm.  No campaign banners, signs, buttons, literature handouts, t-shirts or buttons or other campaign materials will be allowed in the candidate forum area.  Candidate literature will be on tables outside the forum area.


Mission

 

The mission of the League is to inform voters with complete, accurate and non-partisan information about issues and candidates running for office.  The League urges all voters to continue to seek information about candidates from all parties and ballot issues so that they are well-informed voters by accessing www.Vote411.org.

Voter Education

We make voting easier through varied voter education programs:
  • Ballot Issue pamphlets
  • Ballot Issue presentations
  • Local candidate forums; e.g. city councils, county leadership, school boards
The League of Women Voters conducts voter service and citizen education activities. It is a nonpartisan nonprofit public policy educational organization, which:
  • Builds citizen participation in the democratic process.
  • Studies key community issues at all government levels in an unbiased manner.
  • Enables people to seek positive solutions to public policy issues through education and conflict management.
